Employment During Enrollment, Graduate Employment Services and Alumni Assistance are provided through all ECPI Campuses. Supplementary services, including Federal Work Study, Internship/ Externship, Career Fairs and workshops are also provided.
Employment During Enrollment Full Time, Part Time, Temporary and Seasonal positions are identified and communicated to students who seek employment during their enrollment at ECPI. Positions are not related to the field of study they are are studying in.
Federal/ College Work Study Federal work-study (FWS) positions are available for financial aid recipients with FWS awards only. The positions are located on and off campus and are filled competitively. Majority of the positions are off campus.
Internship/ Externship Externships coordinated by the Career Services department offer students technical hands-on experience in their field of study. This also allows the students to experience real working environments. (Internships offered at select campuses)
Graduate Employment Services Near Graduates will be able to meet with their assigned Career Advisor to begin the career search process. During which time, the Career Advisor will be able to take a career profile of the student to understand the types of opportunities he/she would be interested in and qualified for. The Career Advisor will also offer the student advice on interviewing, strengthening their resume and career search tools so that the student may be able to conduct a thorough and successful career search.
Career Development Workshops The Career Services Department offers career development workshops including: Resume Preparation, Interviewing Techniques, Job Fair Networking Techniques, Understanding and Qualifying Various Employment Firms, Online Resume Posting, Professional Attire, and so on& (Workshops vary per campus)
Career Fairs The Career Services Department coordinates career fairs every year, inviting numerous employers on campus to conduct corporate recruiting and screening.
Alumni Search Services Alumni are encouraged to become a member of the Alumni association in order to receive career resources. With membership, alumni will have access to the Job Leads updated daily on the Career Services Website. Alumni of the College may be eligible to receive job search assistance even after they have accepted a full time permanent position with an employer, providing they have been with that employer for a minimum one year. Exceptions to the one year minimum would be in the case of lay offs, family emergencies, relocation, and other extenuating circumstances as determined by the college. Current graduates receive priority for graduate employment services and assistance provided to alumni occurs when eligibility has been established and when job orders requiring experience are available. |
